Man with briefcase

Cloud-Exit helps enterprises move off hyperscalers to EU-native infrastructure. We’re hiring a pragmatic Go engineer to build production-grade, Kubernetes-native software with a sharp focus on reliability, simplicity, and great developer ergonomics.

    What you’ll do

    • Design and ship Kubernetes components (controllers, operators, admission webhooks) using controller-runtime.
    • Build safe reconcilers: health-gated rollouts, idempotent updates, clear status/metrics.
    • Own CI/CD, automated tests (unit/envtest/e2e), and release engineering.
    • Collaborate across platform, security, and product to turn requirements into clean APIs and code.
    • Write high-quality docs and examples so users succeed without hand-holding.

    Required skills

    • 4+ years professional software engineering, 2+ years in Go (concurrency, interfaces, tooling).
    • Hands-on Kubernetes: API machinery, CRDs, informers, RBAC, Services/Networking.
    • Experience building operators/controllers with controller-runtime (or equivalent).
    • Solid testing discipline (unit, property/fuzz preferred), observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and debugging.
    • Strong Git workflow and code-review habits; comfort with GitOps practices.

    Nice to have

    • Admission webhooks, mutating/validating pipelines, and sidecar injection patterns.
    • Kubernetes networking (CNI fundamentals, eBPF basics), TCP/IP, NAT traversal; VPN/WireGuard knowledge is a plus.
    • Helm/Argo CD or Flux, container hardening, image signing/SBOM.
    • Security-minded engineering; familiarity with GDPR/ISO 27001/DORA expectations.
    • Experience in remote, fast-moving teams with high ownership.

    How we work

    • Kubernetes-first, declarative by default.
    • Small teams, high ownership, tight feedback loops with real users.
    • We value clear writing, thoughtful trade-offs, and boring, reliable solutions over clever hacks.

    Benefits

    • Remote-first within EU time zones, flexible hours.
    • Competitive compensation, equipment budget, and learning stipend.
    • Opportunity to ship widely used open source and shape core platform components.
